Markthalle Neun, located in the Eisenbahnstraße in Kreuzberg, reopened its doors in October 2011, exactly 120 years after its inauguration. This historic market hall is home to a traditional weekly market.
The Market Hall for Food Lovers in Berlin Among many other shops, Markthalle Neun offers the following culinary delights:
- Fish Klub: Fresh fish, oysters, and seafood
- Sironi: An Italian bakery

Naschmarkt (Sweet Market) Once a quarter, Markthalle Neun hosts Naschmarkt, a market dedicated to sweet and savory treats. Numerous stalls present their cakes, cookies, chocolates, macarons, honey, and pralines. Quality is highly valued, and only “good, clean, and fair” ingredients are used, following the principles of the Slow Food movement.
Cheese, Coffee, Sausages, and Beer In addition to the regular market, Markthalle Neun also hosts various food events throughout the year. The “Berlin Coffee Festival,” “Cheese Festival,” and “Wurst&Bier” (Sausage and Beer) events invite visitors to taste and savor a wide range of culinary delights.
Around Lausitzer Platz The area around Lausitzer Platz is vibrant and full of life. It is home to a weekly organic market where you can find fresh vegetables, milk, and delicious bread.
